Alberto Goffi, MD
Dr. Goffi is a Staff Physician at St. Michael’s Hospital – Unity Health Toronto and Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, Department of Medicine and Interdepartmental Division of Critical Care Medicine (IDCCM).
Alberto obtained his MD from the University of Turin, Italy, where he also completed his General Internal Medicine Residency. He then completed a Fellowship in the Adult Critical Care Medicine Program at the University of Toronto and the Master Teacher Program at the University of Toronto.
His clinical and academic interests include neurocritical care and point-of-care ultrasound in acute care medicine, with a focus on the clinical utility of ultrasound in critical care medicine and optimal teaching strategies for its competency achievement.
He is the co-director of the IDCCM BASIC (Bedside Assessment by Sonography in Critical Care Medicine) Critical Care Ultrasound Curriculum (https://basiccriticalcareultrasound.org) and, together with Dr. Neill Adhikari, the co-lead of the Toronto Addis Ababa Academic Collaboration (TAAAC) Adult Critical Care Medicine fellowship.
