Anna Maw, MD, MS

Dr. Maw is an academic hospitalist and health services researcher with expertise in Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) and Implementation Science.

She founded and directed the Weill Cornell POCUS Internal Medicine Program from 2012-2016, teaching POCUS to medical residents and faculty.

Upon arriving at the University of Colorado in 2016, she transitioned her academic focus to health services research, receiving a career development award in implementation science funded by NIH.

Her research focuses on optimizing health outcomes in hospitalized patients through the high-fidelity implementation of POCUS into health systems. Because training is such an important aspect of POCUS Implementation, she continues to teach POCUS to learners at all career stages in local and national venues.
