We are delighted and excited to announce the 17th WINFOCUS World Congress as an unparalleled event taking places in the
first week of December 2022.
In 2021, WINFOCUS organized the first-of-its-kind Virtual Congress attended by more than 18,800 people from over 120 countries,
with the endorsement of more than 130 national and international scientific and academic institutions. It fulfilled WINFOCUS‘s mission by providing educational access to providers of every specialty in every region and at every skill level. The format gave equal access (for free) to sonologists in the richest and poorest countries avoiding the expense and environmental impact
of air travel.
This year we aim to do better. Because ultrasound remains a physical art as well as a science, we have sought to re-establish hands-on training as a part of the fabric of our congress while recognizing the “new reality” of unpredictable travel restrictions
in the post-COVID era.
The WINFOCUS World Congress 2022 (WFWC 2022) will blend
in-person and online content, into a unique, unprecedented hybrid, multi-venue, multi-lingual scientific event consisting
of 4 distinct components:
The international, interdisciplinary, panel of experts that has
been gathered will deliver a truly unique range of scientific
and educational content to the global healthcare community.
WINFOCUS is the international standard-bearer for PoCUS providing support, promotion and education for all in our field.
The 2022 World Congress promises to deliver an unprecedented amount of ultrasound scientific and educational content presented by amazing teachers from all parts of the world.
Welcome to Antalya! Welcome a world of PoCUS!
Welcome to WFWC 22!
Join Winfocus World Congress and qualify to enter a raffle for a free Clarius C3 HD3 device with a 1-year membership, for access to advanced packages & software tools.

Join the world’s largest PoCUS event of the year!
More than 250 PoCUS experts from over 70 countries and representing almost every discipline will gather on December 3 and 4 to present the latest concepts in ultrasonography in four broad tracks.
In Track 1 PoCUS for the specialist: new science and the cutting edge.
In Track 2 PoCUS for the Generalist: Honing Skills, Refining Practice.
In Track 3 Neighbors and friends: sharing the PoCUS space with other societies and groups.
In Track 4 Deconstructing Babel: Regions and countries speak in their own language about their own issues.
This year we have designed a schedule in which every presentation starts on the hour, at 20 minutes past, or 40 minutes past, so that registrants will have the maximum flexibility to jump from one session and track to another, to hear the presentations of their choice.
Each session will conclude with a live panel in which the presenters will field questions in real time. To further broaden access, dedicated sessions will be held in Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Chinese Mandarin and Other languages.
On December 3 and 4, Track One of the virtual congress will be presented live in Antalya, Turkey, in partnership with the Emergency Medicine Association of Turkey (EMAT).
Top experts, clinicians and researchers will connect from all corners of the globe to present the latest PoCUS knowledge on a wide range of topics. They will also deliver the most engaging PoCUS teachings reflecting their experience in various healthcare scenarios and settings.
Each session will conclude with Q&A from the live and the remote audience, moderated by in person expert panels in Antalya.
On December 1 and 2 we will be presenting in Antalya in-person live workshops on a wide range of material to up to 180 trainees at a time over 15 hours of Pre-Congress Workshops.
An international faculty of PoCUS experts from across the globe will deliver practical teaching on several applications of up to date bedside ultrasound practice, including:
On December 3, we have organized hands-on ultrasound workshops stretching from the Far East to the West Coast of the Western hemispheres across 18 time zones, with nearly 100 separate training sites and over 2,500 trainees scheduled to receive PoCUS training on that day alone.
In order to maximize PoCUS education accessibility, several of these workshops will be delivered for free in underserved areas of the planet, consistently with WINFOCUS vision and mission.
We have given these workshops the acronym POW “Point-Of-care One-world Workshop” in the hope of invoking the spirit of a Marvel comic superhero who deals with enemies of truth and progress with a well-placed POW! The workshops will link to the Antalya Congress in various forms.
The ultimate goal will be promoting awareness, in the global medical community and in the society at large, of PoCUS and ultrasound practice and education as a continual force for the good. December the 3rd will be in fact celebrated as “World PoCUS Awareness Day” worldwide.

What is new in ultrasound? New approaches, new uses, new ideas, new applications? What lies beyond the horizon? What new tools are being developed? How will new forms of connectivity, AI, and machine learning affect future directions of PoCUS? What new scientific information is there to topple the shibboleths of PoCUS? Are you heading for the frontier? Check out this Track for a taste of what might be in store for you there. All sessions will include 20 to 40 minutes of panel discussion in which you will be able to share your knowledge and insights as well as your doubts and concerns.

Why do the top athletes in the world spend hours a week with trainers who have never won a major competition? Which of us knows so much about ultrasound that we cannot profit from the insights and experience of others? Tune in to Track 2 to put a new edge on tried and tested tools; to refresh, refine, recalibrate and generally spruce up your ultrasound practice. All sessions will include 20 to 40 minutes of panel discussion in which you will be able to share your knowledge and insights as well as your doubts and concerns.

Although many practitioners have known for years how PoCUS supports and enriches clinical practice, this discovery is being made by an ever-widening range of specialties. Track 3 will allow specialists who are not using ultrasound to find out “what all the fuss is about” from leaders who discuss how ultrasound is modifying practice and improving patient care. But the goal is not solely to provide space for each specialty to discuss PoCUS in its own field. Finding out how colleagues in other fields are using ultrasound will allow each of us to tap into new wellsprings of knowledge for our own practice. All sessions will include 20 to 40 minutes of panel discussion in which you will be able to share your knowledge and insights as well as your doubts and concerns.
