Dr. Azma Haryaty Binti Ahmad

Dr Azma Haryaty Ahmad is an accomplished Consultant Emergency Physician and Emergency Critical Care specialist based at Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia.

Her commitment to excellence in Emergency Critical Care led her to complete two fellowships in the field.

The first one was in Emergency Critical Care and Critical Ultrasound, which she obtained from Winfocus in 2018. The second fellowship was in Emergency Critical Care, supported by the Malaysia Ministry of Health and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, USA.

She serves as the Head of the Emergency Critical Care SIG (Special Interest Group) at the College of Emergency Physicians and as Vice President for the Society of Critical and Emergency Sonography (SUCCES) in Malaysia.

She serves as a supervisor and examiner for several esteemed medical programs, including the Fellowship in Emergency Critical Care, Fellowship in Royal College of Emergency Medicine (FRCEM), Malaysia Fellowship of Emergency Critical Care Ultrasound, and Master in Emergency Medicine.

One of her significant contributions to the field is the development of an Advanced Diploma in Emergency Care (ADEC) tailored for paramedics. Her involvement in this program goes beyond just the development phase; she was appointed as the national coordinator and advisor for the ADEC subspecialty in Emergency Critical Care since 2017.
