Benji Mathews, MD MBA 

Dr. Matthews is graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School.

He completed his internal medicine residency and Chief Residency through the University of Minnesota. He has completed a Diagnostic and Patient Safety Fellowship and a Master’s in Business Administration.

He holds the titles of Chief of Hospital Medicine at Regions Hospital and Director of Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) for Hospital Medicine at HealthPartners.

He is known as a master clinician with extensive expertise in diagnostic reasoning and point of care ultrasound.

Dr. Mathews is active nationally and internationally with the Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM) where he has serves on many committees including the Point of Care Ultrasound Steering Committee and Co-chair of the Ultrasound Special Interest Group leading.

His work in diagnostic reasoning and POCUS has been well recognized with multiple workshops, presentations,
and publications.
