Dr. Gordon Johnson M.D
Dr. Gordon Johnson M.D. ¡is an academic hospitalist in Portland Oregon USA.
He completed he medical degree at the University of Washington, in Seattle, in 1994 and his residency in Internal Medicine at Legacy Portland Hospitals in 1997.
He spent much of his training in India and continues to travel overseas often to teach and care for patients including working in Juba South South, Mbarara Uganda, Haiti, India, Nepal and Norway. He is associated with many humanitarian relief organizations such at Internal Medical Corps, Rural Health Foundation, AraiaConnect and Lane Haitian Relief.
He completed a Point of Care Ultrasound fellowship in 2016 with the Ultrasound Leadership academy and is the current medical director of POCUS at Legacy Health. He also has been active in the Society of Hospital Medicine POCUS program, co-chairing the executive council, teaching in courses and leading the SHM POCUS Special interest group together with Dr Benji Mathews.
