Dr. Grace W. Wanjiku MD, MPH

Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine Section of Global Emergency Medicine The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

Dr. Grace W. Wanjiku is an assistant professor of emergency medicine in the division of global emergency medicine at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She completed medical school at Yale School of Medicine, and emergency medicine residency training at Brown University.

She also completed a two-year fellowship in acute and critical care ultrasound and an MPH in global health at Yale University. Dr. Wanjiku works clinically in the United States and in Kenya.

Dr. Wanjiku is an international educator, focused on the development of the practice of emergency medicine in low resource areas. Her research interests include the creation and evaluation of point of care ultrasound training programs in low resource areas.

She has been involved in a nation-wide POCUS training program in Kenya, and has organized short POCUS courses for the African Federation of Emergency Medicine (AFEM) conferences in Kenya, Egypt and Rwanda.
