Prof Jiangang Chen

Prof Jiangang Chen obtained his PhD degree from the Hong Kong Polytechnic university, Hong Kong, China.

His postdoctoral training was finished at Columbia university, USA.

He is currently working as Associated Professor at Department of Communications and Electronic Engineering of the East China Normal University, Shanghai, China.

He is the part-time Professor of Ultrasound Diagnosis and Treatment Engineering Technology Research Center of the Shanghai Tenth People´s Hospital, Committee of China Acoustic Society, excellent instructor of the National University Computer Ability Challenge, external tutor of Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University.

He was a senior scientist of Philips Research China, a senior researcher at the Oxford Suzhou Center for Advanced Research (OSCAR), director of the Medical Ultrasonic Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at OSCAR, and an editorial board member of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology.

His research directions mainly focus on medical ultrasound artificial intelligence, wearable medical devices, functional ultrasound, etc.

He has published more than 40 international academic papers, some of which were published in IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging (IF: 10.048), Frontiers in Oncology (IF: 6.244), European Radiology (IF: 5.3), Computer Methods and Programs in Biomedicine (IF: 5.428) and other international journals.

He own more than 10 authorized patents.

He was one of the authors of the book “Diagnosis of COVID-19 Pneumonia using Medical Imaging and Artificial Intelligence”.
