Dr Manni Waraich was appointed consultant in neurocritical care & neuroanaesthesia at the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery, Queen Square London in 2019.

She was previously a substantive consultant at Wessex Neurosciences ICU at Southampton from 2016 to 2019.

Manni is co-lead for the neuro POCUS module with Segun Olusanya for the FUSIC accreditation at ICS.

She has written several chapters on neurocritical care and NeuroPOCUS including the Oxford Handbook of Anaesthetic Emergencies; Neurology: A Queen Square Textbook and Point of Care Ultrasound in Critical Care.

Aside from neuroPOCUS, Manni is on the Faculty for Queen Square Simulation Centre and is developing MDT neurocritical care VR simulation.

Her research interests include non-invasive neuromonitoring and DCI in SAH.

Outside of neurocritical care, Manni sits on the Women in Intensive Care Medicine committee and is lead for the emerging leadership programme for female consultant intensivists.
