Mark Deutchman, MD
He is a Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
He also has faculty appointments in the School of Dental Medicine and School of Public Health.
He practiced Family Medicine in rural Washington State for 12 years after completing medical school at The Ohio State University and residency in Spokane, Washington.
He has been teaching medical students, residents and fellows for the past 30+ years and currently directs the Rural Program for the School of Medicine, a program for students who are planning a career in rural medical practice.
He serves as Associate Dean for Rural Health.
He was an early adopter of point-of-care ultrasound in the 1980s and has taught and published a wide range of ultrasound topics including pregnancy, general abdominal and sonographic procedure guidance.
