Dr. Michelle Fleshner

Dr. Michelle Fleshner is an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and works clinically as a hospitalist through the Division of Hospital Medicine.

She graduated with an MD and MPH from Tulane University School of Medicine and completed her Internal Medicine residency and chief resident year at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center where she had a focus on global health, spending 5+ months in Malawi.

Currently, she works as the director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program longitudinal point of care ultrasound (POCUS) curriculum and the director of POCUS faculty development.

Her research interests include POCUS education and implementation, POCUS in the global health setting, and patient safety and quality improvement.
