Dr. Pradeep D’Costa, completed medical education from Pune, India. Specialized in Critical Care Medicine since 2001.

Presently working as the I.C.U. in charge of K.E.M. Hospital, Pune, and as a physician and intensivist at Sahyadri Hospital, Shastri Nagar branch, Pune, India.

He was the ex-secretary of Pune branch of I.S.C.C.M.

Recognized teacher for all Critical Care courses in India.

Working with Critical Care Ultrasound since around 2008-2009.

Pune I.T.U. was recognized among the first by WINFOCUS in India, and I am proud to be the local coordinator of the Pune I.T.U.

Through our courses in Critical Care Ultrasound, we have trained more than 2000 personnel till date.

I have multiple chapters in books on critical care applications of P.O.C.U.S., and one of the latest chapters is about undifferentiated fever and P.O.C.U.S.

I am the lead author of the “Critical Care Ultrasound and Applications” book published in 2021.

Have represented the country many times in WINFOCUS meetings in China, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka.

I am a core faculty for the F.C.C.U. (Fellowship in Critical Care Ultrasound) course conducted by I.S.C.C.M. (Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine).

I have conducted many trials as the principal investigator in the vaccine field, Critical Care (Phase 2, 3, 4).

My special interests include Critical Care Ultrasound, toxicologic
emergencies, tropical infections, and doctor-patient interactions.

My other hobbies include sports (cricket), trekking, music, and traveling.
I also am a Level 2 certified person in Krav Maga.
