Raphaël Giraud

Raphaël Giraud MD, PhD

Dr Raphaël Giraud graduated from Medicine in 1999.

He is senior attending physician in Geneva University Hospitals ICU, Privat Docent and “Chargé de Cours” at the Geneva University Medical School.

He is an Associate Physician in the Cardiovascular Intensive Medicine Unit of the Critical Care Department.

He was resident in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care in Geneva University Hospitals and obtained his post-graduate diplomas in anesthesiology and in intensive care medicine.

He started in 2009 a fellowship in hemodynamic monitoring and obtained a Master of Sciences (MSc) in 2010 and a PhD in 2015.

He is qualified in echocardiography and vascular ultrasound.

He is responsible of the ECMO program at the Geneva University Hospitals since 2012 and he has implanted more than 300 ECMO.
