Dr. Rob Arntfield
Dr. Rob Arntfield is an attending intensivist and medical director at the Critical Care Trauma Centre at London Health Sciences Centre in Ontario.
He is an associate professor of medicine at Western University’s Schulich School of Medicine.
Rob is the fellowship and clinical service director for Critical Care Ultrasound at Western – the oldest and most established program of its kind in North America and has trained hundreds of residents and fellows in the application of ultrasound technology for the care of the critically ill.
He is the co-author of the definitive text on the subject – “Point-of-Care Ultrasound” – has lectured and given practical training around the world and been honoured with local, provincial and national teaching awards.
More recently, Rob has been the principal investigator for an AI-focused research program called Deep Breathe, where he and his team are seeking to automate lung ultrasound through computer vision engineering techniques.
