Shaik Farid Abdull Wahab MD, MMED, AMM, FAMS, FADUSM

Dr Shaik Farid Abdull Wahab, an Associate Professor, presently the Head of Department of Emergency Medicine, a senior consultant emergency physician and senior lecturer in Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Malaysia. He obtained his medical degree (M.D.) and Master of Emergency (MMED Emerg) from USM.

He completed his emergency ultrasound fellowship from Massachusetts General Hospital – Harvard University.

Dr Farid currently, is the Chairman for the Special Conjoint Committee of Emergency Medicine Malaysia. He is also current President for College of Emergency Physician Malaysia. He is an immediate past president for Society of Critical & Emergency Sonography (SUCCES) Malaysia.

He was appointed as Director of Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship program in USM since 2016. He has been honorary visiting consultant to Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC).

He is actively involved in Winfocus since 2008.

He was the founder and current chairman for Wilderness and Austere Medicine Society Malaysia (WAMS); actively involved in many activities including recreation and health related in deep rural areas.
