Dr. Thomas Haendl is head of the department of emergency medicine at the hospital of Klinikum Garmisch Partenkirchen/ Germany.

He was author and co-author of several studies about contrast enhanced and GI ultrasound.
From 2010-2020 he worked as senior consultant at the department of emergency medicine of the university hospital of Augsburg/ Germany.
He emphasizes the usefulness of Ultrasound in bedside assessment of critically ill and emergency patients in daily clinical practice.
He is deeply involved in ultrasound education and gives ultrasound courses and lectures locally and at meetings for the German, Austrian and Swiss societies of ultrasound in medicine.
