Dr. Thomas Haendl is head of the department of emergency medicine at the hospital of Klinikum Garmisch Partenkirchen/ Germany.

He emphasizes the usefulness of Ultrasound in bedside assessment of critically ill and emergency patients in daily clinical practice.
He is deeply involved in ultrasound education and gives ultrasound courses and lectures locally and at meetings for the German, Austrian and Swiss societies of ultrasound in medicine.
