Tim Harris BM BS, FACEM, FRCEM, FFICM

Dr. Harris has been a Consultant in Emergency Medicine for 20 years and was appointed Professor of Emergency Medicine at Queen Mary University of London and Barts Health in 2012.

In 2018 he took an appointment at Hamad General Hospital, Doha, where he works as the deputy chair for Emergency Medicine and lead for academic affairs.

He divides his academic time between teaching and research, focusing on resuscitation, ultrasound, and education. His research is directed to the planning, organization and subject recruitment in large multicentre trials.

He has published more than 100 papers, delivered over 100 (inter)national lectures and is the director of an MSc program in Emergency and Resuscitation Medicine at QMUL.

He has been a member of POCUS committees for the Royal College of Emergency Medicine  (RCEM) and the International College of Emergency Medicine.

He is an examiner for the Fellows of the RCEM .
