Toru Yamada, MD, PhD

Dr. Toru Yamada is a junior associate professor of department of general medicine at the Tokyo Medical and Dental University, Tokyo, Japan.

He is also a director of COVID-19 Outpatient Center at Tokyo Medical and Dental University Hospital.

He graduated from Toyama Medical and Pharmaceutical University in 2003. He completed the training in general internal medicine and gastroenterology.

His research area is medical education and simulation education, with a particular interest in measuring the effectiveness of point of care ultrasound (POCUS) simulation education.

He has organized the POCUS simulation training course with Taro Minami M.D. and Nilam J Soni, M.D in Japan since 2017 and is also the leader of the Bedside Echo Working Group of the Japanese Society of Internal Medicine.
