Dr Jacqueline Wanjiku Kagima MBChB (UoN)
Dr Jacqueline Wanjiku Kagima is passionate about lung health and is currently working at the Kenyatta National Hospital, a tertiary referral hospital in Kenya in the respiratory and critical care unit.
Dr Wanjiku recently completed her PhD studies at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) in the United Kingdom (UK); her PhD work used mixed methods to evaluate ultrasound diagnostics in acute lung diseases and also assessed the facilitators and barriers to point of care ultrasound utility within low and middle income settings (LMICs).
She is an executive member of the Pan African Thoracic society (PATs) and the secretary of the Respiratory Society of Kenya (ReSOK).
She has received several awards and honors and is committed to improving lung health in Africa through research, advocacy, collaborations and mentorship.
