Dr. Yale Tung-Chen is an attending physician at Hospital Universitario Puerta de Hierro, in Majadahonda (Madrid, Spain). He is Chief of the Division of Ultrasound in Internal Medicine. Dr. Tung-Chen completed his residency in internal medicine at Hospital Universitario y Politécnico La Fe (Valencia, Spain), which was followed by an Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston, MA, USA). He received his PhD degree from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, doing research on ultrasound and hemodynamics.
Dr. Yale Tung-Chen, is a specialist in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) works in the Internal Medicine Department, as well as in a monographic thrombosis clinic and Spanish COVID-19 specialized Isabel Zendal Emergency Hospital. His work within POCUS includes echocardiography, abdominal, vascular, renal, lung and gastrointestinal.
He is an Associate Professor at Universidad Alfonso X El Sabio, in Madrid (Spain), where he administers and teaches a large group of medical students on ultrasonography. He has lectured at many courses nationally and internationally, as an expert in point-of-care ultrasound.
